01
Timeouts

Analysis Timeout Error

If analysis takes longer than 30 seconds, you may see a timeout error. This indicates the AI model couldn't process the image in the expected timeframe.

Retry the Analysis

Timeouts are usually temporary. Simply click "Analyze Again" or re-upload the image. Most timeout issues resolve on retry.

Use a Simpler Image

Extremely complex images with lots of text or visual detail can take longer to process. Try:

  • -Cropping the image to focus on the most important area
  • -Reducing image resolution to 1920x1080 or smaller
  • -Using a clearer, less cluttered street view

Check System Status

Timeouts can occur during high traffic or maintenance periods. If retries consistently fail, the AI service may be temporarily unavailable. Try again in 5-10 minutes.
02
Loading Issues

Analysis Stuck on "Analyzing..."

If the loading spinner continues indefinitely without completing or timing out:

Refresh the Page

Press F5 (or Cmd+R on Mac) to reload the page. This resets the analysis state and clears any stuck connections.

Refreshing will cancel the current analysis. You'll need to upload the image again.

Check Browser Console

Open browser developer tools to check for JavaScript errors:

Chrome/Edge: Press F12, click "Console" tab

Firefox: Press F12, click "Console" tab

Safari: Enable Developer menu in Preferences, then select Develop → Show JavaScript Console

Look for red error messages. Copy the error text and contact support if the issue persists.

Verify Network Connection

Unstable internet can cause analysis to hang. Check your connection is stable. If using Wi-Fi, try switching to ethernet or cellular data.
03
Server Errors

Server Error (500) During Analysis

A 500 error indicates a server-side problem. This is not caused by your image or browser-it's a temporary issue with OceanIR's backend services.

Wait and Retry

Server errors are usually brief. Wait 2-3 minutes, then try uploading the image again. Most 500 errors resolve automatically.

Try a Different City

If errors persist on one city model (e.g., Miami), try switching to another city's model temporarily. This can help identify if the issue is city-specific.

Report Persistent Errors

If 500 errors occur repeatedly over 30+ minutes, contact support with the error details, timestamp, and city model you're using.

Note

Server errors are not caused by image quality, file format, or browser settings. They indicate temporary backend issues that typically resolve within minutes.

Missing Results

Analysis Completes But No Map/Coordinates

If analysis finishes but you don't see results on the map:

Scroll Down

Results display below the upload area. Scroll down to see the interactive map with predicted coordinates.

Check for "No Location Found"

OceanIR may determine it cannot predict a location with confidence. You'll see a "No Location Found" message if:

  • -The image has no recognizable geographic features
  • -The image is from a city OceanIR doesn't support
  • -The image is too blurry, dark, or obscured to analyze

Enable JavaScript

OceanIR requires JavaScript to display results. Verify JavaScript is enabled in your browser settings.

Pro Tip

If you consistently see "No Location Found," try images with clearer street signs, visible business names, or distinctive architectural features. OceanIR performs best with ground-level street views.
