Sign Up Process
Creating a Bower account is quick and simple:
Click "Sign In with Google"
Navigate to any protected page or click "Get Started" on the homepage. You'll see the Google OAuth button.
Authorize with Google
Choose your Google account and grant permission. Bower only requests basic profile information (name, email, avatar).
Start Using Bower
You're instantly redirected to the platform. Your account is created automatically-no additional steps required.
Why Google OAuth?
We use Google OAuth for security and convenience. You don't need to create another password, and we never store your Google credentials. Authentication is handled entirely by Google's secure infrastructure.

Free AccountDEFAULT
All new users start with a free account that includes:

Profile Setup
Your profile is automatically populated from your Google account:
- •Display name: Pulled from your Google profile name
- •Email address: Your Google account email (never shared publicly)
- •Profile picture: Your Google avatar displayed in the header when signed in
Privacy & Data
We only store your basic profile information (name, email, avatar URL) in our local PocketBase database. Your Google password and credentials are never accessed or stored. Session data is managed via secure httpOnly cookies. See our Security & Privacy documentation for details.
